The MBF will take place in an ancient place, fascinating, majestic: the ancient Masseria Radogna, the headquarters of an Environmental Education Center of Matera which annually welcomes thousands of students visiting the Park of the Murgia Matera.
To reach the ancient Masseria, and enjoy the beauty of the city in flight, followed in a northeasterly direction for approximately 200 meters from the sheep track that starts from Jazzo Gattini. Surrounded by stone walls, in a panoramic position and surrounded by a park of 9 hectares consisting mainly of olive and almond trees, stands the majestic Masseria Radogna, a typical rural residential building, dating back to the mid 19th century.
HOW TO REACH MATERA?
Matera is served by the F.A.L. railway (Ferrovie Appulo Lucane) that connect it to Bari (60 km) in times ranging from 60 to 90 minutes.
If you come from Sicily, Calabria or southern Apulia, the best solution for you is to reach the Metaponto station, approximately 40 km far from the city. Once there, you can reach Matera by Sita bus service.

The Marino bus service link Matera to Milan, Ancon, Bologna, Chianciano, Fiuggi, Naples, Novara, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Sassuolo and Urbino, as well as to several foreign cities.
From the Tyrrhenian coast: take the “Salerno-Reggio Calabria” motorway; follow the directions for Potenza. Than drive to Metaponto along the SS 407 “Basentana” till you see signs “Matera” near to Ferrandina Scalo.
From the Adriatic coast: take the “Bologna-Taranto” motorway till the exit “Bari Nord”. Follow the directions “Altamura-Matera” (the SS 96, than the SS 99).
From Calabria and Sicily: take the “Salerno-Reggio Calabria” motorway. Exit at Sibari and take the SS 106 Jonica in Taranto direction. Take the exit “Matera” near to Metaponto.
From Salento: the easiest way expected to go beyond Taranto, and take the SS 106 Jonica until the exit “Matera” near to Metaponto.
The nearest airport is the Bari-Palese one, which is just 50 km far. It is well connected with the main Italian cities such as Milan, Rome, Verona, Turin, Venice, Trapani, Bergamo, Bologna as well to international destinations such as London (Stanstead and Gatwick), Paris, Barcelona, Brussels, Cologne, Bucharest, Tirana , Stuttgart, Monaco, Timisoara. the interested airline companies are Alitalia, British Airways, Lufthansa, Volareweb, Ryan Air, Hapag Lloyd, Air One, Air Club.
If you rent a car or you are fitted with, you should follow the signs for Modugno, and than for Altamura (SS 96) and Matera.
If you don’t have a car, take the shuttle bus that carries the line “Bari-Palese Matera”.
HOW TO REACH JAZZO GATTINI/MASSERIA RADOGNA?
5 minutes far from Matera, it is reachable from the SS. 7 in Taranto direction till km 583, following the direction “Centro visite – Centro di Educazione Ambientale”
The Environmental Education Center has a bus service allowing the transport of passengers from Matera to the Park.
